About The Role

Do you enjoy working closely with young people, supporting their progress and celebrating their success?

We’re looking for a High-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a focus on numeracy to join our supportive team at Brixham College.

What you’ll do:

  • Work alongside class teachers to raise attainment in maths
  • Support pupils one-to-one or in small groups to help them access learning
  • Lead whole-class sessions when required
  • Play a key role in planning, assessing, and tracking student progress
  • Support learners of all abilities – especially those who need a little extra help to shine

This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of mathematics and a desire to make a real difference. You’ll help students build confidence, enjoy learning, and reach their full potential.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong maths skills and a passion for helping students succeed
  • Experience supporting learning in the classroom (primary or secondary)
  • A HLTA qualification is desirable – or we’ll support the right candidate to gain it
  • A team player with great communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to inclusive education – including support for students with SEND
