Since becoming a member of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust, Brixham College has adopted our cognitive approach to education, which holds the development of thinking skills and tools at the heart of its teaching methods. Thinking Food embodies this ethos, with a varied menu designed to fuel students’ thinking with a range of balanced, nutritious meals.
We have partnered with Educatering, a branch of Goosemoor Foodservice Ltd, to create a unique menu which is both global and local: it provides students with an opportunity to explore worldwide flavours and cuisines, whilst being dedicated to using local suppliers and sustainable produce
Thinking Food at Brixham College operates across three serving stations: The Hut, The Shack and The Canteen. The Hut serves a variety of pizza and pasta dishes daily, while The Shack specialises in ‘Grab ‘n’ Go’ and ‘Light Bites’ and The Canteen offers main meals. Students have a huge range of meals and snacks to choose from, including vegan and vegetarian options. Main meals range from British classics like ‘Yorkshire pudding wraps’ and ‘Proper Cornish sausage rolls’, to more exotic options such as ‘Katsu Chicken Curry’ and ‘Halloumi and Red Pepper Burgers’.
