About The Role

Penbridge School is looking for a friendly, organised and motivated Receptionist to join our supportive team working across both the Infants and Junior school. This is a key role at the heart of our school, where you will provide a professional reception service and essential administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations.
 
As the first point of contact for parents, carers, visitors and staff, you will play an important part in representing the school's values and ethos. You will have the ability to cope with conflicting demands, deadlines and interruptions whilst working to tight deadlines in a methodical manner.
 
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Acting as the welcoming first point of contact for all visitors, parents, carers and staff
  • Managing calls, emails and enquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Providing administrative support to the Office Manager and wider school team
  • Organising and prioritising tasks to meet tight deadlines
  •  Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focused approach
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft 365
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role, ideally in an educational setting

Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School, we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.
